Amanda Blake
Amanda may only be a couple months into the professional writing experience, but she is no novice to writing. For nearly a decade she has dabbled in personal writing, be it poems, or short stories. While in college, she took a film course that opened the door to analyzing media in structured writing. Then a couple months ago, Amanda started writing reviews for Animation News, an online source for animation news. Her college film analysis papers and review for Animation News can be found on her personal blog.
The first love, in life and career, for Amanda is animation. A kid at heart, she followed her love for animation and cartoons to college, and graduated with a diploma in computer animation. This was the first step leading her toward getting her hands into creating animation for the public. Her most notable position was with Mercury Filmworks, working on an visually amazing children's cartoon 'Toot & Puddle'. Amanda has put her animation career on the back-burner for now as she delves further into professional writing.
When not writing, Amanda enjoys reading, listening to an array of podcasts and pod-books, experimental cooking, photography and of course, watching animated media.
